Shipping Policy

DIGITEL PRO SHIPPING AND DELIVERY POLICY

1. GENERAL SHIPPING INFORMATION

This policy applies to all orders placed through the Digitel Pro website, digitelpro.co.za.

  • Nationwide Coverage: We offer delivery across South Africa.
  • Couriers: We utilize trusted and reliable courier partners (such as The Courier Guy) to ensure the safe and timely delivery of your electronics.
  • Shipping Days: Orders are processed and dispatched on business days only (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays).

 

2. SHIPPING COSTS AND FEES

  • Standard Shipping: Free standard shipping is provided on all orders over R1500.
  • Shipping Protection (Insurance): Our standard shipping does not include full insurance coverage for loss, theft, or damage during transit, only the basic coverage provided by the courier. You will have the option to purchase additional shipping protection during checkout.
    • Disclaimer: If you decline the optional insurance, Digitel Pro will not be liable for the full replacement cost of a device lost, stolen, or damaged above the courier’s limited liability amount.

 

3. ORDER PROCESSING AND DELIVERY TIMES

Back-Ordered Devices Varies, typically 2 to 10 working days, as specified on the product page. 2 to 5 business days after the device arrives at our facility.

Note: Delivery times are estimates only and are provided by the courier. Rural or high-risk areas may require additional time.

 

4. DELIVERY PROCESS AND RISK TRANSFER

A. Tracking

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email notification containing your courier tracking number and a link to track your parcel’s progress.

 

B. Handover and Inspection

  • Risk Transfer: The risk of loss or damage to the product transfers to you (the customer) once the goods are successfully delivered to the address specified in your order.
  • Required Signature: All deliveries require a signature upon receipt. If you authorize the courier to leave the package without a signature, you assume all risk of loss or theft.

 

C. Damaged or Incorrect Goods

  • Immediate Inspection: You must inspect the package upon arrival before signing, if possible.
  • Reporting: If the package is visibly damaged or if you receive the wrong product, you must report the issue to Digitel Pro via email within 24 hours of the delivery time. Failure to report within this timeframe may complicate or void your claim with the courier.

 

D. Failed Delivery Attempts

If the courier attempts delivery and is unsuccessful due to a customer-related issue (e.g., incorrect address provided, nobody available to sign, or refusal to accept), the courier may charge a fee for re-delivery. This re-delivery fee will be payable by the customer.

 

5. COLLECTION OPTION (Durban Area)

Digitel Pro is has 2 phycial stores located within the Durban area:

  • Cash on Delivery (COD): COD transactions must be pre-arranged with our agents.
  • Collection: Pre-paid and COD orders may be scheduled for collection at one of our stores in Durban.

 

6. CUSTOMER DATA AND ADDRESS ACCURACY

You are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your delivery address and contact information provided at checkout. Digitel Pro will not be responsible for late or failed deliveries resulting from inaccurate details provided by the customer. Any costs incurred for re-delivery due to an incorrect address will be charged to the customer.
